1. During matches and tournaments, parents and family are not allowed matside.
- a) A parent deemed a coach by the head coach is allowed matside to give instruction.
- b) A parent who has agreed to NOT give instructions may ask mat coach permission to be matside for photography purposes.
- c) A parent who has agreed to NOT give instructions and help the mat coach by keeping score may be permitted matside.
2. Parents will never speak to the referees, table workers or other tournament officials. If there is a problem parents will talk to the coaches. The coaches must be the ones to handle any conflict, let coaches do the coaching.
3. We realize other teams do not enforce these rules with their parents. Our coaches feel that parents coaching their children without working with all children in the practice room, is disrespectful to coaches that are working with the children on a routine basis. Children wrestle better if they hear proper wrestling technique called to them by their coach.
4. The coaches will give reminders but if it becomes a continued problem the head coach or committee officer will give a warning.
5. If you want to be involved, than be involved. (Read the "Coach, can you help us" story)
